Faringdon Community College
Transforming TA deployment with TA Timetabler
The school
Faringdon Community College is a large comprehensive school in Oxfordshire, with over 1,400 students on roll and around 30 teaching assistants. The school supports approximately 40 students with EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans), with numbers continuing to rise.
The challenge
Scheduling - and frequently reallocating - teaching assistants had become increasingly complex and time-consuming. The Inclusion team relied on a legacy Access database that was no longer fit for purpose, limiting efficiency and flexibility.

The solution
In the 2022/23 academic year, the school implemented TA Timetabler. The platform quickly streamlined TA allocation, giving Inclusion Managers greater control and visibility over how staff were deployed across lessons.
Seamless integration with the school’s MIS, alongside daily automated synchronisation, ensures timetables remain accurate and responsive to changes in class schedules and student allocations.
The impact
TA Timetabler has enabled the Inclusion team to ensure teaching assistant support is consistently targeted where it is needed most.
“Thank you for an incredible piece of software. It saves hours of work enabling us to have an excellent overview of the students and their needs and LSAs available to cater for those needs."
Ruthanne“Scheduling my TAs for the year used to take me at least two days. With TA Timetabler, I was able to do it under two hours! It is a must-have for any SENCO.”
Heather“I’m impressed by how responsive the team are. If we highlight a feature that we feel is missing or would be beneficial, we are listened to and suggestions are reflected in updates to the software.”
